St. Peter's Church, Ropsley

OUR VILLAGE AND ITS CHURCH
Ropsley, with a population of around 700, is the biggest village in the North Beltisloe Group. It lies 6 miles east of Grantham with a regular bus service to the town. It has won the Best Kept Village in Lincolnshire title a number of times. It supports two public houses, a village hall, a cricket club, a mobile library and post office.
The Church of England primary school has about 100 pupils and close connections with the Church. The Rector takes assembly at least once each week. St. Peter’s holds services for the children every term. A Sunday Club for local children is run in the village hall. This hall is used for many social activities including the annual Church fete.
Our well-kept church dates back to the 12th century having many different architectural styles and is open each day. It is a popular venue for weddings and holds concerts from time to time. The rectory is a modern, well-appointed bungalow with an attractive garden.

CHURCH SERVICES
Services are normally held on all Sundays when there is not a Group Service and alternate between Holy Communion, morning prayer and evensong. There is also a monthly midweek service with prayers for the sick. In addition to the Group Eucharists, we hold a number of special services including a very well attended Remembrance Sunday service.
Church attendance for normal services is in the teens and stable. Special Services are well attended, the School services especially so.
