Lenton

Our Parish and its Church


Lenton is our largest parish in area, made up of Lenton, Hanby, Keisby and Osgodby of 64 houses. It has a static population of around 180.

This is mainly a farming area, but with only four families involved in farming, There are 34 on the electoral role. The church is located in the middle of Lenton and is currently it exhibits "The Host of Angels Experience", a unique collection of artwork created by a local artist showing well over a hundred angels, which has been successful in raising funds for ongoing repairs to the church.


CHURCH SERVICES

Church Services normally take place on the third Sunday of the month and alternate between Holy Communion and a family service. Average attendance is 8.


THE PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL

The PCC has 7 elected members, including the two churchwardens, and meets formally about 3 times a year


THE STATE OF OUR BUILDINGS

The building and churchyard are in excellent condition, with considerable sums being spent recently for spire repairs, re-roofing and general upkeep. Monthly meetings of the "Friends of Lenton Church" carry out small maintenance tasks to the structure.
