Our Parish and its Church

Lenton is a large parish in area, made up of Lenton, Hanby, Keisby and Osgodby. with 64 houses and 150 residents (including 14 children). This is mainly a farming area, now with only four families involved in farming, The parish population is more or less equally split between commuters and retired.

The Church is located in the middle of Lenton. The building and churchyard are in excellent condition, with considerable sums being spent recently for re-roofing and general upkeep. Monthly meetings of the "Friends of Lenton Church" carry out small maintenance tasks to the structure. Currently the Church is hosting "The Host of Angels Experience", a year-long exhibition to raise funds for the internal refurbishment.

Church Services

Two services are held each month: Holy Communion and Morning Prayer (Evensong in the summer). The church also hosts Group Services and Festivals during the year with choir and organist, usually followed by refreshments.

The PCC consists of 10 members and meets four times a year. The Annual Parish Share and Group contribution are paid in full.
