BELTISLOE DEANERY

We are a member of the Beltisloe Deanery, which is made up of 7 parish groupings in the south of the Diocese of Lincoln. The Beltisloe Deanery has 34 village parishes plus the town parish of Bourne. The Rural Dean is Andy Hawes, who is Rector of the Edenham Group.

The Deanery is strongly committed to the growth of Christian mission across its parishes. The Chapter, comprising all the licensed clergy who live and work in the Deanery parishes, meets regularly and share a common vision in which we all use our talents to grow mission.

In early 2011 our Deanery Synod approved a plan for the next three years. This Plan strongly advocates the sharing of responsibility for growth between the clergy and the laity. Its foundations are prayer and a constructive partnership between, strong, empathetic priests and an energetic laity.

The Plan sets out to create 7 viable Parish Groupings which also contribute an appropriate amount towards the cost of growing mission across the Diocese.
